Ember

Ember was found on the side of the road near Tuan Forest abandoned by her mother in January 2026. She was transported to West Vets, as a newborn foal urgent medical care was vital as she had not received any colostrum from her mum so required plasma transfusion and feeding tube. Closely monitored by the West Vets team once on the improve she was introduced to Vanilla, who had just lost her foal Spark and thankfully it was a success. After a few days she was up and feeding from Vanilla so had the feeding drip removed and transported to the sanctuary.

Ember is now 7 months old and has been weaned from Vanilla, she is getting regular handling by staff and a trainer. She is full of personality, and we can’t wait to see what her future holds.
