Fernando

Fernando was in a sale pen at Laidley sales in 2018, a poor scared little guy, mattered coat, pot belly and looking dull and life less. The team purchased him for just $100. He had very little handling and quite the kicker but with time and perseverance were able to get him onto the float. A combination of the heat and weakness saw little Fernando collapse on the float, once back at the sanctuary the team managed to get him back up and his rehab began. He grew into a cheeky character with plenty of energy and loved playing with his paddock mates.

In 2021 he was adopted with Raiden.

In September 2026 his adopter advised due to financial difficulties he needed to return.

Fernando has grown into a handsome gelding; he does like to test electric fences and be the paddock boss. He is lovely boy to catch and groom. As with all returning horses, he will undergo assessment.
