Ladbroke was surrendered with his paddock mate Charlie – as owner could no longer afford care and with an eye ulcer that needed treatment. In addition to being a raced thoroughbred he has previously competed in showjumping. This lovely thoroughbred gelding after finishing treatment for his eye underwent training offsite under the OTT Program.
Ladbroke is one of our older gentlemen, who has been out on adoption as a lead line for an 8 year old boy. Unfortunately, his commitment isn’t strong enough for his family to commit to the cost of a horse, so he is back up for adoption looking for his perfect people.
Ladbroke is able to be lightly ridden by a petite rider or used as a lead line for a confident older child. He isn’t bombproof, so we wouldn’t suggest him going off lead unless with an experienced rider, as he is a Thoroughbred who is still forward moving.
He would also be perfectly happy being a paddock bum. Ladbroke is a kind doting horse on the ground but does need an experienced family around him.
