Lightning and his paddock buddy Cheerio, were leased out but when their owner went to check on them, found they had been severely neglected and were almost starved! Sadly, she did not have the funds to bring them back to full health and so they were surrendered to SAHA. Lightning is very quiet and a dream to do anything with. He is a gentle horse on the ground. He is a smoocher and loves to tuck his head into your chest for some love. He does windsuck but this is controlled with a collar.
He is a beautiful old man suitable as a companion horse for someone looking for a no fuss horse to pamper. He does require hard feeding.
