Ruben (Smokin Rubi)

Ruben was surrendered as owner was unable to afford care and treat his injured hind hoof. He was assessed by vets and required surgery to remove section of the hoof as previous injury had not been treated and had dirt and small pieces of gravel deep within wound. Due to the amount of hoof removed he required box rest for 6 months and specialist shoe. He is now off box rest and working on building muscle and strength back before continuing to assessment.
