Ruby is a Stockhorse mare who was surrendered due to being sold as a beginners horse and was not suitable. Within the confines of a round yard she was fine but in open spaces she took control.
So Ruby will only be available to a confident novice rider under instruction of a professional, or to an experienced rider who wants a no fuss mare to take out on rides, musters, etc.
Ruby can be sassy to catch in a big paddock for the less experienced, but with minimal fuss with someone who knows how to tell her no to the game. Ruby will excel in the right home, and is an amazing little mare under saddle with the right rider up. She needs someone confident who will be her leader.
SUITED RIDER: confident novice under professional instruction to an experienced rider. No beginners.
SUITED DISCIPLINE: Trails, show, pleasure.
EASY TO: float, tack up, worm, farrier, rug, lead, wash and groom
VICES: We were advised that in open spaces with a beginner rider Ruby would take charge. Under an experienced rider she has shown none of this. Ruby can be tricky to catch for the less experienced.
