|Story:||Amanda had purchased horses numbered 26 and 28 from the sales and had organised for them to be transported to the Beaudesert sanctuary, while she immediately transported a critically ill mare and foal to the Gold Coast Sanctuary. When she returned to Beaudesert, she was shocked to find that due to a paperwork mixup, 26 and 27 had been transported and 28 had been left behind and was due to be slaughtered for human consumption. The abattoir suggested she keep 27 and they would slaughter 28 instead but Amanda was horrified at the thought and arranged transport to pick up 28 and paid the extra to rescue 27- aka Clyde- as well! Lot number 28, who was accidentally left behind was named Diesel and we think he was very grateful when our volunteers came back to get him!|
Diesel had a strained tendon and needed rest for an extended period. He has healed completely and has no ongoing issues.
Diesel would make a great pleasure riding horse or trail riding horse. He is like a big puppy dog to do anything with. He is calm and quiet however he is an off the track race horse therefore, would need an intermediate rider who knows what they are doing. He is still green and uneducated so someone experienced enough to continue with his training.
