Story:Gordy was rescued after having been sold through the Gympie sales a few times. A pretty horse like Gordy going through the sales every 3 months did make us think he had some behavioral issues but we thought we would give him a go anyway.

After 10 weeks at a professional trainer it was established that Gordy just wasn't going to be a safe riding horse. He has a knack for getting his rider off by any means he sees fit - even resorting to throwing himself on the ground.

The chiro and physio deemed him perfectly sound with no pain issues and his teeth are in perfect shape, so we know that his issues are behavioural under saddle.

He may improve with time and a one on one bond with an extremely experienced home but as a charity organization we will never risk the safety of the public. If a professional trainer has deemed him dangerous under saddle then he will be adopted as a companion horse only.

On the ground he is a pleasure to do anything with. He isn't dangerous on the ground at all, which is great and he loves other horses. He would make a great paddock companion for someone not wanting to ride.

Gordy has found a wonderful companion home with other horses to keep him company.
