Alize was a Standardbred x Warmblood mare who came into care during one of our largest rescues in the charity’s history. She was severely emaciated on arrival however she never stopped fighting until she was back to being a chunky, happy old girl.
Alize tended to be the top of the herd in any paddock she was put into. This gorgeous mare certainly didn’t let her age stop her from showing the young ones who the boss was. She also enjoyed her grooming sessions with volunteers.
August 2026 sadly after a paddock incident she suffered a non-recoverable leg injury and under vets’ advice was euthanised. Run free sweet Alize.
