Bloom (Furry Lemon)

Bloom was purchased at February 2025 Caboolture sales with foal (Echo) at foot. The winning bidder contacted SAHA when they realised Echo had windswept front legs and injury to hind leg and was not in a position to care for.

Bloom was a Thoroughbred mare who came into care and needed to improve condition and be brought up to date with vet work.  At 6 months old Echo was weaned off Bloom and she began assessment. Unfortunately, she had some issues was reactive, difficult for farrier and vet even when sedated, kicking, rearing etc. Bloom was sent off to trainer for intensive handling and training, however under trainers’ advice the decision was made to euthanise as her behaviour and issues were not improving and deemed not suitable for rehoming.
