Captain was surrendered after being left abandoned on agistment. He had dental issues and growth on his leg. He was reviewed by our vets before being booked into UQ Gatton for CT Scan and assessment. Unfortunately, he had 3 infected teeth and the growth on his leg would also require surgery. Vet advised surgeries would be expensive ($20,000+) and with a number of serious risk factors was not confident of a positive outcome. So, the tough decision was made to give Captain his wings, and he was donated to the university for vet students to study.
