Krystal rescued herself when she self loaded onto the float from the knackery when no one was looking! She was in emaciated condition, but with love and care she soon recovered. Krystal was with us for 8 years and in that time she went out and taught four little girls how to ride. She spent most of that time in foster care with Ryley and Ruby who loved and cared for her with a passion. Unfortunately Krystal went down with colic and spent a week in intensive care but the vets were able to pull her through. She had another bout of colic six months later. This time we were lucky and it was only gas colic not an impaction but sadly when she was laying down and getting up through the night she injured her back end. The vet assessed her, so did physio and chiro, however she was really struggling, so at 35 years old we made the decision to put her down. She was a one in a million horse and I’m just glad she got to spend her final moments in a home where she was loved just like a human family member.
