Matisse

Matisse found herself in the dogger’s yard. Unfortunately, she had an eye injury which meant that the doggers would not be able to on sell her and this would mean she was listed for slaughter. The doggers contacted SAHA and we asked our loyal supporters to raise the funds to purchase Matisse and have her transported to Manly Road Vets for treatment of her damaged eye. Luckily under the care of Pauline Gavan, the fabulous equine eye specialist, Matisse’s eye was able to be saved.

Matisse is an easy going mare who fits with any paddock personality. We put her in with our cranky man Dreamer and she has brought the best out in him he is now a social butterfly of the horse world.

Due to personal circumstances, Matisse has been returned to care and is available for adoption as a ridden horse. She is green under saddle and will need an experience home to further her education.
