Bandito was surrendered to SAHA as he was unable to stand or drink and owners could not afford vet care. He was taken to West Vets and on examination it was discovered he had tick paralysis, which can be fatal in foals. Intensive treatment began and was also discovered he has small eye ulcer. Little Bandito did amazing and after a couple of days was able to transfer to the sanctuary to continue his care.
Bandito is such a cute and friendly little guy and did amazing with all his vet work and as with all minis had a waitlist of loving homes waiting once he was cleared for adoption. The SAHA committee has chosen an experienced home, and we can’t wait for future updates.
