Fleur was surrendered to us after she sustained a bad puncture wound in her eye. Although immediate help was sought, the eye has had complications and unfortunately there is Cornea damage with necrotic tissue formed.
The only hope was to have a Cornea Graft surgery which is very expensive.
Her owners had already exhausted their funds with hospital treatment for 2 weeks and were not able to spend the many thousands to have the surgery done.
They reached out to us as a last effort to save her, and we quickly agreed.
She has her whole life ahead of her, and was just starting out her show career before injury.
We have high hopes for her healing progress so stay tuned for update on this little mare.
