Jimmy was rescued from the Laidley sales with some minor injuries to his face and a slight hoof injury. He was treated at the vet hospital and made a full recovery. Jimmy is very solid and a great doer and doesn’t need much feed if the pasture is good. Under saddle he is awesome and doesn’t put a foot wrong. He is quiet, responsive and has good breaks. On the ground jimmy is a little nervous and needs to bond with his new owner before he will trust 100%. So even though jimmy is beautiful and quiet under saddle his insecurities on the ground prevent him from being suitable for a beginner. He would suit someone with some knowledge and who is confident. At the sanctuary jimmy gets ridden for 40 mins 4 times per week. He is a very, very mild roarer (1/5). It’s so mild that it’s not worth doing surgery and the vet has said it won’t effect his ability of being a pleasure / trail riding horse.
