Caleb

Caleb came into SAHA from the sale yard pens as a weanling, frightened and unhandled. He was sent to various trainers, but he really came out of his shell when he went out to a foster home and had one on one handling with no agenda.

Caleb grew into a lovely horse. Still timid but easy to catch and handle. However, when broken in, which was done over a longer period than usual, Caleb showed signs of not being completely trustworthy under saddle. Spookiness and unrest out of the blue. Our rider wanted to proceed, but the decision was made to call it quits when he showed this behaviour under saddle.

He is available as a young companion; he would excel at liberty or with some fun ground work, or happy to just be a companion buddy.

Caleb does have a trick of getting through electric fencing, so would need to have a good strong box or have a stand off to stop him from ducking through.
