It may be as simple as they won’t go on transport, or they simply aren’t a horse who can be rehabilitated to the point of adoption. These horses will live out their last breath with us.  

 

Other horses in long term care are simply here as they’ve been overlooked in the adoption process. Horses who just haven’t found their right human yet. We always hope that our long-termer’s will find their forever home. 

 

If not, they will stay with us in the sanctuary of SAHA.
