Roadie – a big beautiful 24-year-old gelding found himself at the October 2025 Warwick Horse Sale thin and unloved. He was so gentle and kind in his pen, even though we were just there to monitor and assist we made the vow to save him, but an overlooked bid meant he ended up on the truck to the pet food processing factory. The team at SAHA was gutted our pleas on Friday with the dealer were shut down but Laura and Jen were relentless and over the weekend secured his last-minute reprieve and he made his way to SAHA.
Roadie has been brought up to date with his vet work, and he has been diagnosed with Cushings so his rehab is a little slower. But we cannot wait to see this big beautiful gentle giant blossom back into the horse he should be ♥
