Blossom was saved from the kill list at the knackery who had bought her at the Grafton sales. She had a lot of problems with hoof abscesses – 3 abscesses in 3 hooves. After a long recovery, Blossom’s hooves were completely healthy. As a 20 year old TB, she had a little arthritis in her knee. She is a sweet mare, bottom of the pecking order and doesn’t have a nasty bone in her body. She loves attention and will stand all day to be fussed over and groomed. Unfortunately Blossom’s arthritis continued to get worse and the knee was badly calcified. No matter the treatments we tried, we could not get her sound and she was in constant pain. We had no option but to humanely euthanise. RIP gorgeous girl..
