Chan was surrendered to SAHA after he ran through a fence and received wounds to all four of his legs with his front legs extensively wounded. All of the wounds missed major arteries and tendons and our vets were confident he would heal and make a full recovery. Unfortunately, although Chan healed amazingly well, he continued to have issues with lameness. The vets continued to monitor his recovery but it soon became obvious that he had indeed done some damage to his muscles. We tried to treat and used various therapies to help his muscles but he was never sound and was in pain so we had to make the decision to have him put to sleep. Such a devastating result after surviving such a horrific injury.
