Rosen was rescued from neglect, having been left in a paddock in terrible condition. She was emaciated, had rain scald, cuts and abrasions, infected skin over her entire body and a very serious corneal ulcer with a puncture wound through her eye.
We had immediate vet care and pain relief given to her and she was taken to Manly Road Vet to see the eye specialist Dr Pauline Gavin.
Rosen resides at our Beaudesert sanctuary and is a beautiful quiet mare who has adapted to life with one eye.
Due to her age Rosen is in our golden oldies program and is currently retired with us here as a member of our Long Term Care herd. At this stage she won’t be available for adoption.
This stunning mare is looking for sponsors of her own to help her in her retirement.
