Clyde

Stock Horse Gelding

Clyde must have been the luckiest stock horse at the Warwick sales! SAHA had purchased horses numbered 26 and 28 and had organised for them to be transported to the Beaudesert sanctuary while immediately transporting a critically ill mare and foal to the Gold Coast. Due to a paperwork mix up, 26 and 27 had been transported and 28 had been left behind and was due to be slaughtered for human consumption. The abattoir suggested SAHA keep 27 and they would slaughter 28 instead but SAHA instead arranged transport to pick up 28 and paid the extra to rescue 27 – aka Clyde- as well! Turns out Clyde is the sibling of number 26, now named Bonnie.

Clyde was adopted out in 2015. However due to requiring dental surgery that his adopter could not afford he has been returned to SAHA. Clyde is now back under saddle and available for adoption.
