Hunter (Shandy Man)

Hunter was surrendered to us with an old fractured pelvis injury and ongoing ligament injury which we have sorted and he is now paddock sound. Unfortunately, although he was physically well, mentally Hunter was a work in progress. He came to us a very damaged soul. He was a nervous wreck – hard to catch with no trust at all. It didn’t matter how hard we tried, he was just too frightened to trust. Then along came Chumlee! Chumlee is an unraced thoroughbred with the most amazing calming gift with other horses. When Hunter met Chumlee he changed completely. He isn’t hard to catch anymore and isn’t nervous to handle. He’s learning to trust again and Chumlee’s laid back attitude has rubbed off on him.
