Topaz was surrendered to us after the people who rescued her and her foal could not put weight on her. She was continuing to lose weight, so her foal was weaned and she was surrendered. Following vet work and teeth check, we started her on a special feeding program of regular small feeds to slowly build her back up to normal. Topaz is a little timid with people she doesn’t know, but trusts easy once she gets to know you. She is very very green to ride knowing no leg aids at all and at the ripe old age of 23ish years we decided not to send her for any training. She is being rehomed as a paddock companion but is safe to use as leadline only. On a lead she feels safe and secure but off the lead she is confused and isn’t sure what your asking. Topaz is a pleasure to own and really needs someone to bond with her and give her the love she craves. She is very placid with other horses and is always bottom of the peaking order so she would make a lovely companion for another older horsey.
