Torque is a lovely big standardbred who came in to SAHA with a fractured tooth that needed surgery to remove. He also needed to put weight on as this had been lost due to the tooth issue in his former home. We have had Torque on good feed and hay, and he had his tooth successfully removed. Torque would make a lovely trail horse. He is 17 years old so we think a home where he is taken on outings rather than put into hard work would suit best. Our regular rider thinks Torque would be fine for a novice rider under professional instruction, or an experienced rider who wants a pretty no fuss horse to hack out on. Torque has been tested mulitple times under saddle and ridden out in open spaces.
Torque will need a person who is experienced on the ground as he can be a bit wary of things such as his rug being pulled off his rump. He needs reassurance and guidance on the ground.
