Patrick

Patrick was at the October 2023 Warwick sales and purchased by a dogger who contacted Laura after the sale as he was in poor condition and bound for slaughter. He is an unnamed/unraced thoroughbred. Patrick was then brought up to date on his vet work and once back in good condition he has undergone training and assessment under saddle as part of the OTT program.

Patrick has a very friendly and doey nature and is generally happy to be involved in whatever is asked of him. Under saddle he can occasionally be a little spooky, but for the most part he is a relaxed horse who cruises along comfortably. He carries himself in a downhill manner when under saddle and therefore leans on the riders’ hands at times. He needs clear guidance and balance from the rider. He is a nice horse to be around and will require an experienced rider to continue his education.
