Kong came into care May 2021, upon picking him up from the property he has lived at his entire life he had a severe chest infection, terrible hooves, underweight and presented very unwell. His hendra wasnt up to date so he was safley transported to the Beaudesert Sanctuary and a hendra exclusion test was prefromed before we could begin any treatment. Once his hendra came back negitive we began treatment for his infection. We then took X-Rays on his feet and he was found to have accute laminitis in both front feet.
His prognosis is poor due to the severity of the laminitis. We are working closely with vets and hes currently reciving the medication he needs to keep him comfortable.
