Royal was surrender due to owner unable to afford ongoing vet costs for wound in back leg that kept reopening.
She is a lovely thoroughbred mare that has both raced and been a broodmare.
On vet examination it was discovered she had bone chip in the leg and prognosis for positive outcome after surgery was not good so the tough decision was made to euthanise on vets’ advice.
