Moe

Gelding Thoroughbred

Moe was surrendered with lameness issues in his backend. On investigation it appeared he had sustained an injury to his sacroiliac which was left untreated and caused all kinds of lameness problems. We began him on some joint supplements and started physio and equissage to help with movement. It was discovered Moe has osteo-arthritis in his hock and a stifle cyst. He remained sound for quite some time but then presented acutely lame. Xrays and two vet opinions provided no hope of a pain free life without constant pain medication and we had to make the difficult decision to let Moe run free.
