Cassidy’s mother, Ashlyn, was rescued from the doggers in foal. Cassidy was born healthy and safe in the care of one of SAHA’s foster carers. When she was born she was very down on her bumpers so both mum and bub were stabled to allow her to come up, but the vet still wasn’t happy with her and she wasn’t coming off them as quickly as she should be. So Ashlyn and Cassidy were both taken to Exclusively Equine Veterinary Service and Cassidy had little casts put on both back legs to help her stand properly and allow her legs to develop properly. She came out of the casts after a few days and was then fitted with little slipper shoes. She was still a little on her bumpers but so much better since she had the casts on. Her ligaments and tendons are now working perfectly and the vet was very happy with her progress. Cassidy is the sweetest most beautiful natured filly we have. She is a very fast learner, isn’t scared of anything and is willing to please. She leads, ties up and floats easily. She is easy to worm and do her feet. Cassidy is a pleasure to do anything with and will suit someone experienced enough to carry on with her training and development. We believe Cassidy will mature to around the same height as her mother who is 15.2hh. Cassidy and her mum, Ashlyn are both solidly built horses and with a great temperament – Cassidy is a pleasure to own.
