Mason was purchased off a dogger truck when his owner had a last minute change of mind and agreed to surrender him into the care of SAHA.

Height: 14hh approx.

Colour: Chestnut, blaze, socks

Adoption fee: $500

Vaccinations: Hendra, 2in1, farrier & dental

Rider Level: beginner under instruction or confident beginner upwards

Suited to: trail riding

Mason was purchased from the doggers.

Mason is good to handle, wash, rug, farrier and float

He is good in the paddock with mares or geldings, and respectful of fencing.

Mason hasn’t been ridden in over 5 years. Mason had his first ride back under saddle this week and was the perfect pony. He was great to saddle, and rode out at all 3 paces beautifully. Mason has no bite, buck, rear or kick.

Mason has issues excepting the bit and will throw his head around as seen in the video. So will need a confident person to aid in tacking him up if for a beginner. Once he is bridled he is fine. He needs positive enforcement to help him learn to accept the bit. This is now being worked on regularly now at the sanctuary.

Other than his bridling issue, Mason will make an amazing trail riding horse from a beginner upwards.

Mason has no health or soundness issues and is waiting to find his forever home and trail riding buddy.
