Wombat was rescued from the Burpengary dogger pens as a stallion. Turns out he was a gelding all along – but we still sent him off for tests to be sure. He was then sent off to the trainers for breaking. Wombat is green broken and quiet as a mouse under saddle, though he is a little lazy and still learning leg aids. He is still in a tom thumb bit due to being a little lazy on his turning aids. He doesn’t have a bad bone in his sweet little body and I truly believe with some training this pony will make an amazing kids horse. He stands still while mounting, doesn’t fidget, accepts everything willingly and is willing to please.. He is a smart little pony and picks up everything so quickly. Wombat is up to date with all vaccinations, feet, worming, teeth etc and he is now ready for his forever home… He is only just learning to accept a rug but has with ease and is getting better and better by the day.. Although I know with the right person he will make a superb little kids pony he is still green broken and learning. He still needs some work on desensitizing with rugs as he wasn’t rugged at the breaker and we have only just gotten him home. But he is learning quickly and trusts willingly. We will only rehome him to a home who are experienced and can further his career.. We would love to see him go to an experienced horsey family who have some little ones who can love and appreciate him.
